Radiator and Intercooler mounting

This part of the project started on a Saturday morning and then again Sunday morning.  By Saturday evening I had successfully removed the radiator and had the intercooler mounted right behind the grill.  Perfect placement to keep it full of fresh air.  Then it hit me, S#%* I don’t have anything to mount the radiator too.

Soooo Sunday I started over again from the beginning.  This time building brackets that will hold the intercooler and radiator.  The brackets hold both the radiator and intercooler and make it extremely easy to pull them both out if needed.  Originally on the PT engine the upper radiator hose was routed toward the driver side which in the Jeep translated to the rear.  It was easy enough to flip it around to face forward though and that was the only real modification required.  A couple bends in some exhaust pipe and a little spray paint..problem solved.

Later we scored a good deal V-8 conversion radiator from Ken at All Pro and it fit into the brackets great.  I had to have the bottom neck turned down for the coolant to flow properly.  As you can see from the pictures it also shortened our coolant hoses and cleaned things up a bit.
