Rear end upgrade

While at the drag strip we decided it was probably a good idea to upgrade the rear end.  After doing a little research it appeared the ford 8.8 rear end from an explorer was the one to have. As luck would have it we found one with low miles and a 4.10 limited slip for $100. Oh Yeah!  Now the rest of the story. If I paid myself $1 an hour for my hours on Craigslist to find this deal I could have purchased one already done but what fun would that be? So on with the story. A quick call to Artec industries and our truss/ install kit was on the way. This kit was pretty easy to install. Take your time and it will work great. I will suggest though that once you get it tacked together you install it to make sure all the brackets line up. One of our lower control arm brackets had to be tweaked a bit. Very easy to fix before its welded, not so much after.
